Job summary

Study Mind seeks an experienced Female SEN Tutor to support a Year 7 student with ASD, PDA, and EBSA in Bromsgrove. You will start with Maths, building trust before adding English and Science, delivering 1:1 tuition in the home and coordinating with parents to ease back into learning.

Ideal candidates will have extensive ASD/PDA experience, a calm, relationship-led approach, and sensitivity to anxiety-related needs. Salary £27–£33/hour. Temporary role.

Qualifications

• Extensive Autism and PDA experience is essential.
• Female tutor required.
• Sessions must take place at a consistent agreed time each week.
• Be prepared to provide a short biography and photograph before starting to help the student become familiar with you.
• Comfortable working with a student with anxiety, masking and sensory processing differences.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1:1 face-to-face tuition in the student’s home.
• Initially teaching Maths before expanding into English and Science.
• Building a trusting relationship before increasing academic expectations.
• Delivering flexible, low-demand lessons tailored to the student’s presentation each day.
• Supporting emotional regulation through predictable routines and sensory-aware teaching.
• Working closely with parents to support a gradual return to learning.
