Job summary

Study Mind is seeking a calm SEN Tutor for in-home support with a Year 8 student in Maldon and Dengie district. The role covers Maths, English and Science with a focus on bridging gaps before the January 2027 school transition.

The ideal candidate has SEN experience with autism/ADHD, uses low-demand, relational approaches, and is reliable with Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one). Weekday sessions total 6 hours, Tue–Thu, 2 hours per session.

Responsibilities

Job Details

• Home tuition, family home in Maldon and Dengie district
• 6 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2-hour sessions, ideally 10:30 to 12:30)

The Role

We are looking for a calm, patient SEN Tutor to support a Year 8 student on a 1:1 basis at home. The student has autism, ADHD and dyspraxia, with significant anxiety and difficulty regulating emotions. As SEN Tutor, you will deliver bridging provision in Maths, English and Science, helping to close gaps ahead of a school transition in January 2027.
