Job summary

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, seeks dedicated SEN 1:1 tutors to support primary and secondary pupils across Ely and surrounding areas. Sessions occur in homes, schools or community venues during school hours, with flexible part-time or full-time opportunities.

You’ll help pupils with SEND, ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and related needs, delivering personalised 1:1 tuition to boost confidence and progress. Role requires travel to multiple locations in Ely and nearby towns, strong curriculum

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years UK teaching experience.
  • Experience supporting primary and/or secondary-aged pupils with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or reliable travel between locations.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Are you an experienced teacher or tutor with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils across Ely (CB6), Littleport, Soham, Chatteris, March, Witchford, Sutton, Haddenham, Mepal, Stretham, and the surrounding areas. Sessions take place in pupils' homes, schools, or community settings during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require tailored educational provision due to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language needs, dyslexia, or other additional learning needs. You'll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful academic progress through personalised 1:1 support.

Pay

Competitive pay, depending on experience, qualifications, the pupil's needs, and the tuition assignment.

Working Pattern
  • Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
  • Tuition delivered during school hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Long-term and ongoing tuition assignments available
  • Travel to pupils' homes, schools, or community venues across Ely (CB6) and the surrounding areas is required
Key Responsibilities

Must-Have Requirements
  • A minimum of two years' UK teaching experience.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Nice-to-Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language needs, dyslexia, or other additional needs.
  • Experience delivering tuition within alternative provision, specialist settings, or pupils' homes.
  • Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE and/or Key Stage 2 SATs preparation.
