Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN and SEMH needs in Maidenhead. The role involves 1:1 and group support, working alongside experienced staff to help students learn and grow, with safeguarding and DBS checks required.

You will assist in classrooms, support learning with tailored approaches, and contribute to a positive, collaborative environment for young people.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with teaching staff and SENCOs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to understand student needs.
• Adapt and implement educational plans to support learning.
• Provide one-to-one assistance during lessons and activities.
• Support students with SEMH, autism and ADHD with tailored approaches.
• Assist in managing behaviour and promote positive engagement.
