Job summary

GSL Education in Slough is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work 1:1 and in groups, assisting with lesson activities and reinforcing learning under the guidance of experienced staff.

You will provide dedicated support to students, collaborating with teachers to adapt plans and address individual needs, including SEMH, autism and ADHD, to promote progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, especially with SEMH, autism and ADHD, is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers to understand the needs of the student.
• Implement and adapt educational plans to support learning.
• Provide one-on-one assistance during classroom activities and lessons.
• Support students with SEMH, autism and ADHD, adapting approaches as needed.

GSL are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with SEN and SEMH needs in a supportive school in Slough, working on a 1:1 and group basis.If you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Graduate, Support Worker, Sports Coach or someone with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you!!

You will support students in the classroom, help with 1:1 and group activities, and work alongside experienced staff to help students learn and grow.As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to students, working closely with teachers and other staff to help meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to understand the specific needs of the student
• Implement and adapt educational plans to support the student's individual learning requirements
• Provide one-on-one assistance to the student during classroom activities and lessons.
• Support students with SEMH, autism and ADHD, adapting approaches to their individual needs
• Assist in managing behaviour challenges and promote positive engagement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, especially supporting students with SEMH, autism, ADHD and behaviour challenges is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team
