Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN school in Wendover, providing 1:1 and group support to pupils with a range of needs. You will assist with learning, development and independence, while helping manage behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing.

Personal care may be required, and you will collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to promote inclusion. The role offers a dedicated consultant, ongoing SEN training and development, and a chance to make a genuine

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships and support emotional wellbeing.
• Willingness to perform personal care if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and group support in the classroom.
• Support pupils with their learning, development and independence.
• Help manage behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and support their wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and school team.
• Adapt approach to meet individual needs.
• Provide personal care support where required while maintaining dignity.
