Job summary

PercentChase | HiRecruiters are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Wolverhampton. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, helping them thrive in an inclusive environment.

The role involves supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs, assisting with EHCPs/IEPs, and collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals. Safeguarding and pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND/SEN.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and IEPs is beneficial.
• Safeguarding checks and pre-employment checks will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with ASC/ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech & language needs.
• Help implement EHCPs and IEPs.
• Adapt classroom activities to individual learning needs.
• Support positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers/SENCO.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, trips and activities.
• Provide personal care support where required.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
• Work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals.
