Job summary

Sprint Education Recruitment is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming mainstream primary school in Wolverhampton. This full-time role starts in September 2026 and runs to July 2027, with possible permanency for the right candidate.

You will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs, collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to enable access to learning. Graduate students or final year students are encouraged to apply, and training opportunities are

Qualifications

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
Ability to provide dedicated one-to-one support in a classroom setting.
Strong communication with teachers, pupils, and families.

Responsibilities

Provide consistent one to one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
Work alongside the class teacher to deliver personalised learning activities tailored to the child's needs.
Adapt learning resources to maximise engagement and accessibility.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, communication, and social interaction.
Support the child's emotional wellbeing and create a nurturing learning environment.
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to support the pupil's progress.
Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
