Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support to primary pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.

• Implement individual education plan (IEP) targets in close collaboration with the SENDCo.

• Adapt learning materials and sensory activities to make the curriculum fully accessible.

• Foster emotional regulation, resilience, and self-confidence through positive encouragement.

• Supervise pupils during sensory breaks, lesson transitions, and outdoor play.

Requirements for the Role

• Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs in school or care settings.

• A compassionate, patient, and highly adaptable approach to managing sensory requirements.

• Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).

• Strong communication and team-working capabilities.
