Job summary

Trust Education Limited in Rotherham is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role. You will support pupils with a range of needs in a welcoming primary school environment, delivering targeted interventions and working with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement learning plans.

The role values a caring, patient approach, strong communication and teamwork. An Enhanced DBS is desirable and training opportunities are available to support your professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a UK primary school.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next full-time role in Rotherham?

Trust Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rotherham that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. Your Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in and out of the classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions and provide one-to-one or small group support where required.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual learning plans.
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and SEND policies at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a UK primary school.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential with suitable experience.
• A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
