Job summary

Trust Education Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for the Barnsley area to join a friendly, supportive team. The role involves assisting pupils with SEND, delivering targeted interventions, and helping create an inclusive classroom environment designed to promote development across communication, social and physical skills.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO, adapt activities for individual needs, and contribute to monitoring progress and safeguarding.

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
• Good English and Maths skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, caring and able to engage and support pupils.

Responsibilities
