Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in the Sherwood area of Nottingham from September 2026.

You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEND, delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions, and adapting activities to meet individual needs within EHCPs.

The role offers a long-term, full-time temporary contract with weekly pay and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• Previous SEND experience is essential.
• Experience in a primary school or similar setting.
• Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH or Speech & Language needs.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups with clear routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2.
• Support children with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or Speech & Language difficulties.
• Follow EHCPs and individual support plans; adapt classroom activities and resources.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and the SENCo; collaborate with staff.
