Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd in Nottingham is seeking a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs across the primary age range. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support, adapting activities to help pupils access the curriculum and develop independence.

The position is based in Nottingham City Centre with a long-term, full-time contract and potential to become permanent; it offers weekly pay and CPD on SEND, Autism, Behaviour Management and Safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN/SEND is essential.
• Experience as a SEN TA, SEND TA, or Teaching Assistant.
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Speech & Language difficulties.
• Ability to provide dedicated 1:1 support.
• Experience with EHCPs or individual support plans is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs.
• Adapt activities and resources to access the curriculum.
• Deliver targeted interventions across literacy, numeracy and social development.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Maintain routines and clear expectations throughout the day.
