Job summary

Long Term Futures is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in the Sherwood area of Nottingham from September 2026. The role focuses on supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils with SEND, through 1:1 and small-group work, within a nurturing school environment.

You will be joining an experienced team where consistency, patience and strong relationships are central to helping pupils engage successfully with school.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
• Experience in a mainstream primary setting is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for KS1/KS2 pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs and SEMH.
• Follow EHCPs and individual support plans, adapt activities for learning.
