Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Erdington, Birmingham. You will support KS1 pupils with ASD and communication needs with 1:1 and small-group interactions, helping pupils access lessons and participate in activities.

This long-term role offers stability, full-time hours during term time, and a chance to develop professionally through CPD and closer involvement with teachers and the SENCO.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN.
• ASD or communication needs experience desirable.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups within a KS1 setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support.
• Help pupils access lessons and classroom activities.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Encourage independence and confidence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Maintain consistent routines throughout the school day.
