Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic SEND school in Wimborne, BH 21. The role is full-time, long term, starting ASAP, with a typical day from 8:00am to 4:00pm and a daily rate of £140.

Ideal candidates hold QTS/PGCE/EYTS/NVQ/Cache or equivalent and have prior UK school experience, including work with SEND pupils, especially ASD. Safeguarding training is desirable, and the agency will support the vetting process.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a UK school.
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD.
• Genuine interest in supporting children with ASD and complex learning needs.
• Safeguarding training up to date (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support SEND students in classroom activities and routines.
• Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and behaviour management.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to mentors/coordinators.

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work at a fantastic SEND school located in Wimborne, BH 21.

• Minimum rate of pay: £140 per day
• Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD
• A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD and complex learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references
