Prospero Teaching are partnering with Bournemouth area schools to recruit compassionate Teaching Assistants for SEND, with a focus on ASD support. Roles are long-term, full-time, and start ASAP.

Successful candidates will hold recognised teaching qualifications or equivalents and have UK school experience. Open to individuals seeking career development in SEND education, with training and safeguarding support provided.

Job description

We work in partnership with schools across the Bournemouth area who require compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs on a one-to-one basis.

Experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates looking to develop their career within SEND education, are always welcome to apply.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Bournemouth
• Position - SEND Teaching Assistant
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Long term
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - £140 per day (approx.)
• Hours - 8:00am - 3.30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD
• A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD and complex learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references
