Job summary

New Bridge School is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our Roman Road Campus in Oldham. The role is fixed term and permanent, with 32 hours per week (55-minute sessions) during term time and allied to a dedicated SEND provision.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs
• Nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management
• Ability to support teaching in a special needs setting to a dedicated group
• Ability to monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
• Willingness to participate in own professional development
• Commitment to safeguarding and ability to work across New Bridge sites

Responsibilities

• Support main body classes and various subjects as a TA
• Assist in Autism Base with social interaction and regulation
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP outcomes
• Engage with parents and staff to support pupils’ wellbeing
