Job summary

New Bridge School, part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant Level 1. This fixed-term and permanent post is based at the Roman Road Campus in Hollinwood, Oldham.

The TA1 will work across the Main Body with pupils who have SEND, providing essential support to learning activities, progress tracking, and feedback to teachers. The role is 32 hours per week during term time, with an emphasis on safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience with young people who may present challenging behaviour and complex needs.
  • Nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • The physical and emotional resilience to support students with complex needs.
  • Ability to support teaching and learning within a special needs setting.
  • Ability to monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to stakeholders.
  • Willingness to participate in own professional development.
