Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants across Nottinghamshire for January 2027 starts. Roles include 1:1 support, small-group intervention and classroom assistance with pupils who have autism, ADHD, SEMH and other needs.

We seek patient, calm staff with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. DBS update and right to work in the UK are required, with qualifications desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Patient, calm, supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support children with learning, communication and emotional regulation.
• Assist pupils to access classroom activities and the wider curriculum.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small-group support.
• Support behaviour using positive strategies.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
