Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in NG10, Nottinghamshire. You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD and ADHD, helping access learning and develop social skills inside and outside the classroom.

We are seeking a calm, patient and resilient candidate with experience supporting children with SEND, strong communication, and a genuine passion for education. DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ASD/ADHD or other SEND.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and their development.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and ADHD.
• Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
• Implement strategies to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and support staff.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
