Job summary

Remedy Education in Epping is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with various needs across primary and secondary settings.

The role focuses on supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement, following EHCP targets, and helping pupils develop independence in a nurturing, highly supportive environment.

This long-term, full-time position offers ongoing consultant support and the chance to secure a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (Autism, ADHD, etc).
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Experience across primary and secondary settings is an advantage.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
