Job summary

Remedy Education is sourcing a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Epping school, supporting pupils with varied needs in a well-resourced environment.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support across both primary and secondary classes, aiding communication and emotional regulation while following EHCP targets.

This full-time, long-term role offers an ASAP start and potential for permanent placement, backed by ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to work across primary and secondary age groups.
• Comfortable supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
