Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant in Halifax to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD and ADHD. You will help pupils engage in lessons, build confidence and reach their full potential.

In this role you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist the class teacher, help implement EHCP targets, and adapt learning materials for individual needs. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
• DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Help implement EHCP targets and tailored support plans
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development
• Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Salary: GBP95 - GBP110 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Halifax. In this role, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needsincluding ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficultieshelping them engage in lessons, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
