Job summary

Academics Halifax is seeking a SEN Teacher to join a welcoming, well‑resourced school in Halifax. You will plan, deliver and adapt high‑quality lessons aligned to EHCPs, creating a safe and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive academically and personally.

Collaborating with teaching assistants, therapists and support staff, you will assess progress, provide detailed feedback and build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. QTS/QTLS and SEN experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) is essential.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, in mainstream or specialist settings.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, flexible and compassionate approach to teaching.

We are seeking a SEN Teacher in Halifax who can create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports every child to achieve their full potential - both academically and personally.
