Job summary

Kedleston Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for Arc School Ansley in England. You will work onsite to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including autism, using restorative practices and child-centred strategies.

You will partner with staff to monitor progress, assist transitions, and engage families to maximise each child’s learning outcomes. The role requires a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs including autism in an educational setting.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Use humour and restorative practice to support a child-centred approach.
• Support the transition of new pupils and returning pupils and provide necessary support.
• Provide in-class support to meet the needs of the school.
• Liaise with staff to monitor pupils’ behaviour and well-being.
• Build positive relations with parents/carers to involve families in progress.
• Communicate with parents about specific support in place for their child.
