Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a partner school in Wellingborough, supporting pupils with SEMH, autism and other learning needs. You will work with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to tailor learning and boost student engagement.

The role emphasizes empathy, patience and building strong relationships with students and staff; a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or willingness to work towards) is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in SEN or SEMH settings.
• Calm, compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting vulnerable learners.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or willingness to work towards).

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in learning and development across a range of subjects.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
• Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
• Contributing to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
