Job summary

Kedleston Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 7-17 with social, emotional and mental health needs, including autism, at Leaways School in Clapton, London. You will identify strategies to help learners overcome barriers, work as part of a supportive team, and build positive relationships with families while contributing to a child-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategies to help overcome barriers to learning.
• Use restorative practice for child-centred approaches.
• Support transition of new or returning pupils with necessary support.
• Provide in-class support to meet school needs.
• Monitor pupils’ behaviour and wellbeing with staff.
• Build positive relations with parents/carers to encourage involvement.
