Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision within a primary school in Barking Riverside.

You will support a Year 1 and Year 2 class with complex needs including ASD and non-verbal pupils, providing intimate care when required and helping pupils regulate emotions in a busy classroom.

The role starts ASAP, is full-time, long-term with potential to extend or become permanent.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex SEND in primary settings.
• Ability to support pre-verbal and non-verbal pupils.
• Confident providing intimate care when required.
• Calm, patient, and able to manage challenging behavior.

Responsibilities

• Support children with ASD and complex SEND.
