TeacherActive Ltd is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Haringey, North London, with an immediate start. The role supports pupils with hearing impairments and SEND, using British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication and learning.

The position is full-time and long-term, with a daily rate of £95–£120 depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have BSL Level 2 or above and a patient, adaptable approach to help pupils access

Formación

• BSL Level 2 qualification or above is ESSENTIAL.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments (desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to provide 1:1 and small-group support.

Responsabilidades

• Support pupils with hearing impairments and SEND.
• Use BSL to facilitate communication.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Promote pupil communication, confidence and independence.
• Support pupil wellbeing and social development.
• Collaborate with staff and professionals to ensure appropriate support.
