Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant at a specialist school in Cranleigh. The role is full-time and permanent, with term-time hours 08:30–16:00, Monday to Friday. Salary ranges £20,500–£24,500 per annum, with benefits including on-site meals and ongoing professional development.

The school provides education for ages 5–16 with ASC and other complex needs, offering a personalised curriculum and modern facilities. DBS checks and safeguarding are standard.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at pass grade (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK is essential.
• Experience in care, childcare, education, or SEN is desirable.
• Ability to use personal interests to engage learners across subjects.

Responsibilities

• Support complex SEN learners on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom prep.
• Enable students to access the curriculum while supporting pastoral and emotional needs.
• Supervise pupils during breaks to promote social interaction.
