Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced SEN Supply Teaching Assistants to cover Kettering and surrounding areas. This flexible, temporary role supports pupils with autism, SEMH and other needs, on a 1:1 or small-group basis, assisting teachers and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

You will gain diverse school placements, CPD opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference in children's education across Northamptonshire.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, especially SEN/SEND.
• Ability to support across multiple settings and age groups.
• Patience and commitment to education.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Supporting pupils with their communication, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Providing consistent support for pupils with additional needs.
• Helping to create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and wider school activities.
• Following individual pupil support plans and school policies.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
• Providing personal care or physical support where this is part of the role and you have the appropriate experience/training.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Kettering and the surrounding areas? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our team and support a range of SEN schools and mainstream schools with specialist provisions across Northamptonshire. The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of settings and age groups, including children and young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, communication needs and complex additional needs. Depending on the school and individual role, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Supporting pupils with their communication, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Providing consistent support for pupils with additional needs.
• Helping to create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and wider school activities.
