Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join our team for flexible supply work across Sheffield schools. Whether you are available for ad hoc days or longer placements, we can match opportunities to your availability and experience.

We particularly welcome TAs with primary school experience and SEND support skills. A DBS with Update Service is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school environment.
• Experience in a primary school setting preferred.
• Experience supporting children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work that fits around your existing commitments? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across a variety of schools. Whether you are looking for occasional ad hoc supply days or a longer-term position, we can offer opportunities to suit your availability and experience.

We are particularly interested in TAs with experience working within a primary school setting, supporting pupils in the classroom and providing additional support to children with SEND.

The role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you could be working across a range of schools and year groups, supporting teachers and pupils with their day-to-day learning.

• Supporting learning within the classroom
• Working with individuals and small groups of pupils
• Providing support to children with SEND
• Helping pupils to engage with their learning and develop their confidence
• Supporting classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school environment
• Ideally, experience within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with SENDA caring, patient and supportive approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Reliability and flexibility
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Flexible work to suit you
