Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in North London is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs in a welcoming, inclusive environment. The temp-to-perm role offers the chance to work closely with class teachers and specialist staff, with 1:1 and small-group support.

You will contribute to pupil wellbeing and academic progress, with opportunities to develop experience within a specialist SEN setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
• Patience and a supportive approach.
• Fluent in English with effective communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
• Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
• Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and the wider school community.
