Job summary

Academics Ltd in Windsor is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN in a collaborative, inclusive classroom. You will help implement IEPs, monitor progress, and work with teachers to adapt strategies to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Windsor

Academics Ltd are working with a dynamic and inclusive educational institute in Windsor committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We work collaboratively to support students with a range of SEN requirements, ensuring each child receives the tailored support they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to students with SEN as a Teaching Assistant in the classroom, ensuring their engagement and participation in learning activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Provide assistance with personal care and mobility for students with physical disabilities, as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
