Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in a Windsor specialist secondary school. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for learners with diverse needs, helping them build confidence and engagement in daily activities.

We are looking for caring, patient individuals who communicate well and are enthusiastic about SEN education, with a view to pursuing psychology, education, or therapy careers. Start ASAP, M-F, 8:30am-3:30pm, pay £93-£110 per day.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of needs.
• Demonstrate care, patience and genuine passion for SEN education.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, families and staff.
• Show empathy and ability to build trusting relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students throughout the school day, observing and monitoring progress, wellbeing, behaviour and participation.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning and reach their individual potential.
