Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. You will support pupils with autism and work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess lessons.

The role involves developing life skills, communication, social engagement and emotional support, with strong collaboration with parents and professionals. Immediate training and short-term temp-to-perm opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children or young people, knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs (particularly autism) is an advantage.
  • Those from a care background or experience supporting with feeding or lifting / hoisting
  • Ability to use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with a range of physical and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Highly organised with good record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.

Tradewind are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join the team in a Secondary school in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils and Teachers at a specialist SEN school in Welwyn Garden City with an ethos of independence. The school offer immediate training for all staff, short term temp to permanent contracts and interviews to all successful applicants after just 1 week!
