Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse needs in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The role involves helping children build confidence, communication skills and independence in welcoming mainstream and SEN settings.

You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff, adapt to individual learning needs, and contribute to a calm, engaging classroom environment. Training is provided, and prior experience with children is valued.

SEN Teaching Assistant - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

If you're passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity offers the chance to work in welcoming mainstream schools and specialist SEN provisions where every achievement is recognised and celebrated.

Educational settings across High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire are seeking caring, patient and committed professionals to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. Experience working with children and young people is essential, while previous experience supporting SEN is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided.

Many of the settings take a therapeutic approach, placing equal importance on academic progress, emotional wellbeing, communication and independent living skills.

Your day could include:
  • Supporting pupils on an individual or small-group basis.

An understanding of special educational needs is beneficial, although comprehensive training will be provided. You'll be adaptable, proactive and committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential within a supportive educational environment.
