Job summary

Smile Education in Warrington is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs, helping them access learning and build confidence under the guidance of the classteacher and SENCO.

You will support academic, social and emotional development, adapt activities to individual needs, promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, and work collaboratively with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Patience, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other needs is desirable.
• Genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• A genuine passion for helping children succeed

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Relevant education, care or support experience preferred.
