TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 at a specialist school on Wirral. The role offers 1:1 and small-group support, with a focus on SEN, SEMH and EHCP targets to help pupils develop communication, social skills and independence. Immediate start for a term-time, full-time position.

The school emphasises nurturing environments, safeguarding, and collaboration with teachers and families to promote student progress and wellbeing.

Competenze

  • Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in SEN or SEMH settings.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: The Wrirral
Pay: 100- 120 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, term-time
Start Date: Immediate

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them develop the confidence, skills and independence to thrive?

This specialist school located on The Wirral is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful difference to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, at a school that is part of an established academy trust.

About the School

The school provides personalised education for students with additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). With bespoke small-group learning, dedicated sensory and regulation spaces, and strong partnerships with families and external professionals, the school helps students prepare for post-16 education, employment and independent adulthood.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Support students with SEN and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Help implement EHCP targets, learning activities and personalised interventions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
