Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Wigan is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming, inclusive school environment. The role focuses on 1:1 and general classroom assistance to complement the class teacher and SENCO support.

The successful candidate will help prepare materials, monitor progress, and promote independence and participation while maintaining a safe, nurturing learning space for all students.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and general support to pupils in a classroom setting
• Assist the class teacher with learning materials and resources
• Monitor and record progress and report back to teachers and SENCOs
• Encourage pupil independence and participation in class activities
• Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Engage with students, including those with special needs, to promote inclusive learning
• Maintain a safe and organised classroom conducive to learning

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
