Hays is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join our pool of available TAs in the Wigan area to support SEN pupils in local primary schools.
You will work across day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles, supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, following EHCPs where required, and adapting to meet classroom needs. Experience in SEN is essential and enthusiasm is a must.
Here at Hays, we are always working with primary schools based in and around the Wigan area to support them with their SEN needs. With that in mind, we are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join our pool of available TAs to start work in September. We can offer you a mixture of roles from day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles in locations and age groups that suit you.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your job will be to enhance and enrich the learning of your 1:1 pupil or groups of pupils and keep them focused on the learning. The 1:1 children may have EHCPs, so you will be required to follow this, and you will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils and the school. Experience working in SEN is essential.
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children and have experience supporting SEN children. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic. You will need to be available to start in September.
In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in successful schools where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
