Job summary

Monarch Education in Tamworth is seeking a dedicated Early Years and KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. You will provide in-class support for EYFS and KS1 pupils and assist a Reception child with autism in lessons to help them reach their potential.

As a patient, nurturing team member with strong safeguarding commitments, you will work closely with teachers to plan and implement effective learning strategies across small groups and individuals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children
• Strong experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Good understanding of strategies to support children with additional learning needs

Job description

We are working for a Primary School in Tamworth who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years and Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a vibrant primary school environment.

You will work on a one to one basis with a Reception child with Autism and is non verbal. You will work closely with class teachers to support and help this pupil to ensure they have the right provisions in place and is supporting during lessons to ensure they achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1

• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation

Essential Requirements
