Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant? Do you have a passion for supporting children with severe special educational needs (SEN), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 2:1 support for a child with complex SEN needs in a mainstream primary school setting. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a life-changing impact on a child's learning and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience working with children with severe SEN and ASD.

A strong understanding of individual learning strategies tailored to children with complex needs.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents.

The ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment, adapted to the child's needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 2:1 support to a child with severe SEN needs.

Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

Use specialist approaches to support communication, sensory processing, and engagement.

Assist in fostering independence and life skills development.
