Job summary

Nala Global Ltd is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in NG17. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs, with a focus on ASC, MLD and SLD, and on speech and language needs. Start date is immediate, and you will work full-time during term time.

You will help deliver personalised activities, promote well-being and build strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents in an inclusive learning environment. DBS update service may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (preferred).
• SEN experience or genuine interest in supporting learners with additional needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient disposition.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Pay: £105 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-Time | Term Time Only

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting children with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Speech & Language needs
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
• Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
• Building strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents
• Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children or young people (preferred)
• Has SEN experience or a genuine interest in supporting learners with additional needs
• Is patient, caring, and resilient
• Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
