Vision for Education Ltd in the DL5 area is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and support a SEN provision for KS1 and KS2 pupils. This full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to make a real difference in children's learning.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide individualised support, helping pupils access learning, build confidence and independence, and enjoy a positive school day.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning.
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs in a primary school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Providing consistent support to help pupils access classroom learning and activities.
  • Supporting children with their individual learning needs, targets, and EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
  • Working with children across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs.
  • Helping pupils to remain focused and engaged during learning activities.
  • Supporting communication, social development, confidence, and independence.
  • Providing reassurance, encouragement, and emotional support throughout the school day.
  • Supporting pupils with classroom routines and transitions.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and helping children to develop appropriate strategies for managing challenges.
  • Adapting activities and resources where appropriate to help pupils access learning.
  • Encouraging participation in age-appropriate learning and classroom activities.
  • Supporting the development of communication, social, emotional, and independence skills.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SEN team, and wider school team to ensure consistent support.
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting pupils both individually and within small groups.

Teaching Assistant - SEN Provision - Full Time - Immediate Start

DL5 Area - Competitive Daily Rate (dependent on experience)

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the DL5 area.

This is a full-time role, working within a dedicated SEN provision supporting a range of KS1 and KS2 children with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent and individualised support, helping pupils to access learning, develop confidence and independence, and enjoy a positive experience at school.

The role is available for an immediate start and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning. Previous experience supporting children with additional needs within a primary school setting is desirable.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive and enthusiastic teaching team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support within a SEN provision for a range of KS1 and KS2 children.
