Qualifications

Teaching Assistant - Additional Needs - Part Time - Immediate Start

DL6 Area - Competitive Daily Rate (dependent on experience)

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the DL6 area.

This is a part-time role, working Wednesday to Friday, 3 days per week, supporting a group of children with additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent and individualised support, helping children to access learning, develop confidence and independence, and enjoy a positive experience at school.

The role is available for an immediate start and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning. Previous experience supporting children with additional needs within a primary school setting is desirable.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive and enthusiastic teaching team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support to a group of children with additional needs.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will be patient, caring, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and respond effectively to their individual needs.
