Job summary

Connex Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the Childwall area of Liverpool. You will support pupils with SEN in the classroom on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026, with hours 8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday.

Salary ranges from £90-£110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The role offers potential for permanent recruitment in the 2026/7 academic year, and benefits include access to CPD and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
• Experience in EYFS/KS1 would be an advantage
• Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly ASD

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and contribute to learning activities.
• Assist in delivering inclusive teaching sessions and maintain classroom routines.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in the Childwall area of Liverpool. This school is seeking a nuturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026. These roles will be supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom.

We currently have multiple roles available in this school and we would ideally like to set up trials/interviews in the initial weeks in September. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate in the 2026/7 academic year.

Person Specification

Qualifications
