Job summary

Connex Education is seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a Nursery in Fazakerley, Liverpool. The role is full-time from September 2026, based in a nursery class with small group work and general support across year groups. Experience with SEND is desirable as several pupils are on the SEND pathway.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30–3:30, with opportunities for permanent recruitment for the right candidate. A DBS update and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant or childcare qualification is essential.
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
• Experience with EYFS pupils is essential.
• Experience working with SEN pupils.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in theFazakerley area. This school is seeking a nuturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This role will be based in a Nursery class and will involve small group work and general support in a rang of year groups. Experience with SEND is desirable several pupils you will be working with are on the SEND pathway. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate.
