Role Overview

Location: Dorset

Pay Rate: GBP12:14 per hour or GBP22,102.72 : GBP24,103.93 per annum

Job Type: Permanent 40 hours per week, Term time only

As a Teaching Assistant at this special school in Dorset, your primary role will be to support both students and teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum. Youll work closely with students, helping them to achieve their academic targets and develop essential life skills. Whether its providing 1:1 support, working with small groups, or ensuring the safety and well:being of students, you will have a direct impact on their progress and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and Safeguard Students: Ensure the safety, well:being, and emotional development of all students, adhering to safeguarding protocols and policies.
• Assist in Learning: Support the delivery of lessons, working closely with individual students or small groups to ensure they understand and succeed in their learning.
• Behaviour Management: Implement and support positive behaviour strategies to encourage students social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers to plan and prepare learning activities, and contribute to the evaluation of students progress.
• Communication: Build effective relationships with students, parents, and other staff members to ensure smooth communication and positive outcomes.
• Holistic Support: Work in collaboration with other professionals, including residential staff and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and development.
